My mother gave me a piece of advice when I was going off to University. "Stay away from the Gin, men think of it as a pantie remover". Crude maybe, but that advice got me through 4 and 1/2 years of University. Then I met Erik. the first night out at a house party, he showed up with a big bottle of gin and a few cans of tonic. I knew I was in trouble.
Gin, it helped me to catch my husband.
I have been off the Gin for the past few years,
busy making babies and breast feeding babies.
busy making babies and breast feeding babies.
I am in the process of weening my daughter.
My husband tell me we are done having kids.
Looks like the Gin days are back.
Meet the Gitters
I am Sam
My Sam is has the largest kindest heart. He is a sensitive kid and always wants to make sure you are happy. Sam will notice if you shut the car door with just a tid bit more intensity than you did last time, this must mean that he did something wrong and is in trouble. Sam loves to hear "once apon a time stories" and can't understand why my supply of made up fairy tales should ever be exhausted. I finish almost everyday by talking to Erik about how much I love this guy.
and then there were two..
..introducing Shiloh
I can tell already the parts of Shiloh that are going to be like her brother and those that are differnent. While they sure look the same i can tell that Shiloh will be much more independant and less effected by others. But like her brother I can tell that she is going to be a calm kid, with a big heart ready for cuddles and stories. Sam tells me everyday that Shiloh is his best friend. I sure hope that happens.
and now our family is complete..
Gitter and I met in 2000 while working together at East Side Marios. Two years later I moved to Australia to attend Teachers College and he came along when he was finished at OISE. After 16months down under and lots of travel we came home for his brothers wedding and then headed out to South Korea. We spent a year teaching Engligh in Busan. From Korea we went to Hong Kong where we taught at a canadian International School. We finally moved home to Ottawa in 2005, and then "back home" to southwestern Ontario the following year when we got married. The next year Sam was born and along came Shiloh in 09. We have had such a busy and eventfull 10 years together. Now that the baby making is over, I am often left wondering, now what?
I am not sure what the next few years will bring us, but I am so happy I am in it with our crew.
